Yep It's My Happy Dance

If you been following along on this crazy roller coaster ride for the past 10 months & 2 weeks - I bet you can figure out why I am Happy Dancing around my house tonight!

I got the STOP sending mail email today from our Rear D & the "this is how Homecoming will go"  newsletter!! We are so close I can almost taste it to having my husband home after deployment number four. We have only told the boys a time frame that dad may arrive. Seeing as I've been there done that a few times I know that exact dates are  not a good thing to hand out. But oh how I am relishing the fact that we are almost DONE!!

Done skyping, done mailing care packages, done chatting on Facebook, done, done , DONE!! YIPPIE!! Now to make it through these last few little weeks by keeping busy. I think I can manage to find things to do that I didn't quite get around to finishing....lol
I hope all you still going through your deployments know the end does come eventually. I wish only good things as you travel on down the deployment road- you are never far from my thoughts. Now to start making hair appointments & planning the outfit....thank goodness.

In a Blink of an Eye

Twenty Plus years of Friendship looks like this......

After all these years the laughter is still there.....

Remembering fondly the past & learning about all the new.....

Amanda, Stephanie, & Michele

The reunion was a fun filled night to remember. I had the best time seeing old friends & catching up on their life stories. We laughed at days gone by & the silliness we once held dear to our hearts. We showed off pictures of our family now & told of our present day lives. It was nice to see everyone & I look forward to returning back to TN again in the future. I know my home is now with my  husband & boys in Washington or wherever the Army sends us next. But a piece of my heart will always belong in Tennessee with the lazy sunny days & the slow southern accent I picked right back up!  I think we where all shocked that twenty-years flew by in the blink of an eye! Some I barely recognized until they spoke to me & others seemed to hardly have aged at all.The one thing that remained the same is we all still knew how to laugh & have a good time- Here's to the WCHS Class of 1991

Surprised, how did I forget about this?

I came home today to a small Fed-EX package sitting on my porch & really though nothing of it after sitting it on the counter. Went about letting the dogs outside & putting some things into the laundry. Went back grabbed up the stack of mail & opened the package first. Imagine my surprise when a letter From Sears Heroes at Home fell out of the package along with a CD from Josh Gracin. I had forgotten that back in May I had entered our family in their contest for Josh to write a new song based on the experiences of a military family. Well we didn't win but I guess we placed in the top ten! I got a Cd & will be receiving his new Signed Single on CD when he records it to release! As well as a Thank You to our family for their continued support of America with our service.

I think it's pretty cool to even be considered out of all the enteries they received. I have always thought that my soldier has served our country well beyond what he has ever been required by the Army. But to have someone else acknowledge it is pretty wonderful! I am excited for the family from Clarksville that won the grand prize & can't wait to hear the new single based on their story. I am sure with the recent deployment it will be a tear jerk-er & new favorite.

Here is a little Josh Gracin for those of you who aren't country fans- I have always liked him since he was on IDOL. So this is pretty cool to get in the top ten!
