Time is Running Out

We are down to the last 5 days to get our last $50.00 to reach our Goal of raising $800.00 for the Chelsea Hutchison Epilepsy Walk on September 23rd. Jeremy is super excited that he is almost to that magic number. With a little more help from our friends we can hit $800.00 I just know it! We received our walking t-shirts in the mail today and that just made the excitement level in the house go even higher! Our team is at $1830 dollars -Go Team Jeremy & Banyan! If we reach our team goal of $2,000 that means another family can get a grant for a life saving Seizure Alert dog. That just makes all the hard work so worth the effort. We love Banyan & would love to know we had a hand in letting another family have the same blessing . You still have time to go to Jeremy's Page to make any donation you like. It is all Tax Deductible so think BIG!! Thanks to all those who have helped us out already along the way. Your all ROCKSTARS!! Watch for pictures this Sunday after the walk with us in our purple.

20 Days Left

We are down to just 20 days until September 23rd & our walk for the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation.  Jeremy is so excited that we are currently sitting at $459 of his $800 dollar goal. I am hoping & praying we can reach that $800 goal for him as well as the foundation. The Hutchison's never asked us to walk or help anymore then anyone else. But since they are so generously paying off the last financial obligation of Banyan's training in Colorado we are more then happy to give back anyway we can. Banyan & Jeremy both love to walk so this is a great way to reach out  to our community to spread the word about Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy. Chelsea Hutchison lost her life to a seizure and her wonderful family has made it their mission to help spread the word so no other family has to go through a terrible loss. Thanks to their kindness many families now have Seizure Dogs in training like Banyan as well as EMFIT monitors that detect seizures in sleep. Both of these things help us parents sleep better at night knowing should our child seize we will be alerted.  Please take a moment & think about how helpless you would feel if you could not afford either of these things to help safe guard your child. Thanks to the Chelsea Hutchison  foundation I can sleep a little sounder and so can so many other parents. Now if you are able all we are asking is for a small donation of $5 to help us move in the direction of Jeremy's goal. Paypal is avaliable at the LINK below or you can mail in your donation to the Foundation itself in Jeremy's name. Thank You to all those who have already given so generously. We are Fur-Ever grateful for you giving hearts.

P.S.
We may get to actually walk now in Colorado if Banyan's new trainer is able to take him on September 23rd- so exciting!!

Doggy Bling

I was trying to decide how Banyan could look as handsome as Jeremy will look on September 23rd for our 2 mile walk for the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation. It came to me over an early morning cup of coffee ( most of my ideas require coffee). Anyway I googled purple dog print bandanas and found a super cute one to order for Banyan. It just so happened they only had  two left in stock so I bought both. We are now giving away this wonderful bandana to the next AMAZING Human who donates $20 or more in their pups name to our cause Team Jeremy & Banyan to walk 2 miles to raise awareness for Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy.

If you have been following along then you already know our family will walk 2 miles to help the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation continue to carry on their efforts to provide grants for other families to receive a Service Dog or Emfit monitor. Both are tools used to help parents keep their precious children alive should a seizure occur at night during their sleep. Both alert to seizures that could lead to death. It is something our family has lived with since Jeremy had his first seizure at four months of age. But now thanks to Banyan we sleep a little better knowing he could alert us should Jeremy have a seizure at night. He has already alerted us when he was moaning in his sleep & coughing really hard due to a cold. He has a grant waiting for him to finish up his training thanks to this wonderful foundation. Our walking in September & spreading the word is the least we can do for such wonderful people.
Please take the time to go at least read the information on their website to better understand about SUDEP. Then if your moved to make a Donation make sure to leave a comment below- because if your the first then you WIN this pretty bandana!

If you don't have a pup who can wear the bandana we can still mail it to you or you can give it away to the next lucky person who makes a donation. Jeremy set his goal as $800 thanks to our wonderful friends & family we are at $305.00 as of last night. We hope we can continue right up until September 23rd raising more money. Can you be the next to help us out?

Walking, Walking, Walking

Just a reminder that Jeremy , Banyan, & his family will be walking 2 miles on Sunday September 23, 2012 for Chelsea's Walk for SUDEP Awareness.
Jeremy set a goal to raise $800 and so far we are at $180.00 thanks to family & friends. If you could help me spread the word anyone can donate as little as $5.00 helps a child living with seizures get a grant for a Service Dog or an EMFIT monitor that alerts to seizures while sleeping. Please go to our Team Page or our personal page to make a donation. Then copy the link & SHARE with your friends. No parent should have to live in fear each night that their child might not wake up yet so many of us do daily. This is just a small way we can help spread the word about Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy as well as get money raised for a great cause.  The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation is a Non-Profit so if your looking for a charity here is a good one & Tax deductible to make a donation. Please remember that our highest donation winner will receive a FREE Banyan t-shirt as well as his dog tags! Go ahead click on our link & Join our Team today- Thanks!

You have two choices to either donate to Jeremy individually or to our Team- either way it all counts!

Virtual Walk

Stay Tuned on July 1st I will post how you can join us in a Walk or Run to help raise funds for SUDEP. Chelsea Hutchinson Foundation does the walk every year to help raise more money for children in need of Grants for Seizure Alert Dogs & Emfit Monitors. This is the amazing foundation that hopes to help Jeremy get the last bit of money needed to finish Banyan's training. We are more then happy to help them with this walk. We can't be in Colorado or the other locations to participate in person. Therefore we will make a virtual team to walk here in WA. Anyone will be able to join Jeremy & Banyan's team to walk whether they live in WA or around the globe. You will receive a T-shirt to wear that day you complete your walk or run. As soon as I get it all set up I'll post & you can join us and help spread the word!
